Socks & Kally!!!

Well Kally somehow has either managed to find a sock (we are so careful not sure how)or has gotten into something else. She is one very sick little dog. Her picture is back a few posts. This will be the second time this has happened to this extent. Last Oct. she had to be rushed in to the Vets. That time she managed to finally pass 2 socks if you can imagine. She was one very sick dog but we did managed that time to avoid the surgery. Not so sure this time. Of course our own vet is away on holidays so that is another worry...I hate dealing with a different vet. Waiting for 8:30a.m. to make phone calls. She is the sweetest little dog and has these one or two fetishes not to forget papertowels and T-paper..ugh!!
Thank heavens I have Insurance on her but even then it is going to be expensive. The last quote I got was $2,000 and she could do this again!!! OMG!!!
Time will tell..off to do chores then find a vet.

Mischief Mini's

I sometimes wonder if there is not more work in the summer than the winter. The cool summer has been great in some ways. Now we are into a heat wave we are back to bringing the big lads (Clyde's)in during the day. They are showing there age and the face flies are driving them crazy. The big fans keep the flies away while they are inside..and the breeze has them asleep in no time..lol. Even the barn cats have decided to just hang around. No hunting going on in this weather..lol

We have gone the route of fly masks but after many $$$ spent to find them lost in pasture we have given up. Max absolutely refuses to have anything to do with them and Bill has lost to many to count. Easier to bring them in during the worst of it and turn them out at nite.

Now on to the mini's..trying to find them masks is the first battle and the next to make sure if I do use them that they don't get hung up on a branch or some such thing. They seem to find trouble all the time. Pepsi I am sure has a brutal sense of humour..lol some of his antics crack me up. Last nite when we brought the little guys in after eating there vitamins all of a sudden Will decided to roll. First time I have ever seen him do that in the stall(and it is a big stall). Sure enough he cast(which means upside down) himself up against the wall. I could not believe what I was seeing. Thank heavens I was there at least now I do know he does roll..but now I will worry more!! Right..animals..never ends. In any case he got himself out of the pickle he got himself into..but "what the heck"..grrr!!That is stuck in my mind!!!! At least they are small and I could handle that on my own not like a Clyde getting cast. (hubby travels)Lets hope this does not happen again.

I went out in the gator 2 weeks ago and cut any and all burr branches I could find in the mini pasture. How on earth they manage to find them I have no idea. So back again this morning to see if I can find more branches. Both the little guys had found another bush and are a mess. A little mineral oil in the mane and tail makes it easy work to remove but that is not the point..lol.

Well off to do chores..keep cool.another hot one today. Summer has finally arrived.

Hangin out with the Percherons

Last Sunday was play day. Our neighbor called and said they were going to hitch the 6..no problem..lol..we were on our way. Of course not forgetting the camera.

Here are some pictures of that afternoon. It all started with hitching the 4..then on to the 6 horses. Just love the feel of the ground moving when the 6 get tramping..oh boy!! Lots of friends there to help with the hitching and unhitching so the day went smoothly. After we had a wonderful meal and lots of stories.

Hope you enjoyed the 6 Hitch...

Yippee..the HAY IS IN THE BARN!!

Yes..it has been awhile since I posted. Sorry but it has been a little busy around here. The rain finally gave us a break and last Saturday we got 662 bales of nice grass hay in the barn. I was so worried about the little guys hay. Course hay would have been impossible for them and we would have had to haul in hay just for them. We didn't even have to salt it. No worries..it is just perfect. Lets hope next year is not as wet.

Lots of help so it did not take long to finish the job. Started at 1:30pm and had it all in the barn by 6p.m. Lovely breeze that day so it was not the killer job we have had to do other years in 30 plus degree temps.

Pepsi & Will were fascinated with the entire process. I don't think they knew what to think of all the noise and confusion..lol.

One very tired little guy(our neighbours son). He spent some time at the barn but loves riding with his Dad in the tractor. He has his own baby seat so he is good and safe. He is one cute little guy so we always enjoy his visits. (Do you remember how MUCH a 2 yr. old TALKS..lol..lol)

Off to the barn..chores are waiting. Oh..went to the Cannington Quilt Show yesterday and had way to much fun..that is another story.

Back to Embroidery

I hate to admit it but I have hardly had time to use the embroidery unit on my new machine. It is taking a little getting used to. Minor differences that can drive you crazy. Love the SE..great machine. Trouble is I am still stuck in D1 mode..lol. Time to get some projects going that need some embroidery so I can get truly used to the new one.

The weather has been so discouraging. It is like a rain forest out there. We had a dandy thunder storm last nite so that kept me up later than I wanted.

Our oldest granddaughter is away at camp. Wonder what she is thinking of that now she is there. She was all excited about it but then she was dry..lol. Wish I could say I envy her but I hated camping and I am not changing..lol.

Not much in the picture front..but I did take one of the last batch of kittens. Tippy is going in for her big operation as soon as possible. Sure hope I can find some good forever homes for the little ones. Anyone out there interested..lol????

Paint & Grandkids

Painting is something I used to enjoy but as the years go by I find it harder to get down or up to those darn spots that need painting..lol. Bring on the Grandchildren..yippee. The girls were thrilled when I asked them to help. At 11 & 12yrs. why not. They had a ball. The room is very small, just room enough for bunk beds a desk and dresser. We removed the furniture and odds and ends but the bunk beds had to stay. We had lots of laughs working around the bed but did manage to get the area behind the bed done. I could never have done it without them. Yesterday I went to Fabricland and found some fabric to make a Roman Shade for the little room. What luck I had. Next weeks project. I know, I know..that darn quilt is not finished. Oh well..lol. As Bunny commented I should try and finish it before hubby retires..lol

I have some embroidery to do for a friend so off to the sewing room. Have a Great Day!

Wet,Wet, Wet

Ok..so enough already!!!At this rate we will never get our hay in for the year. We only have a few horses. I feel for the farmers with so many animals in need come winter. Lets pray for some hot weather..soon!!

I took this picture of our dog Kally a few weeks ago. She is a sweet pup and a great companion.

Here is a picture of the quilt I have been working on. Played with some borders..and ended up taking them off (top & bottom ones)ordered more fabric that will hopefully look better. Really like how this is turning out. Nice look for hubby's truck. As usual Fuzzy is around when the camera comes out..lol

One more day of rain according to the TV..fingers crossed they are right.

This is cute!!

Where did June go??

Last day of school today. June has gone so quickly. I am sure both the teachers and the kids are thrilled to be finished. This hot weather I am sure has made it hard on everyone. Looking forward to some time with our granddaughters. They always manage to keep themselves busy while here. So far the kittens have not been born so they will be busy checking up on the momma cat at the barn. Just hope the hot spell is over, I don't do well in the heat..lol. Barn time is much more enjoyable when it is a little cooler than what we have had the last few days.

I went into town yesterday to watch some young gals that were graduating from Grade 8 get there pictures taken. The girls looked amazing. Our neighbor took one of his horses and cart in to escort the girls..(one of the girls was his daughter)back to the school after pictures. I have watched this young gal from a baby grow up....hard to beleive she is starting high school this fall. The pictures were taken at the local park and of course Smokey got lots of attention. He is a sweet guy who is very people oriented..lol Boy did he enjoy the attention.

I have been sewing..honest. Hopefully the next post will have some Stitches and not just Hooves. Maybe the name should be changed for this blog..lol. Oh well I guess you can tell where my priorities are.

Storms are in the area but so far no rain here. Sure could use some. Things are pretty dry. Hubby is on his way back from Halifax and has run into some of it. Maybe later on this evening we will get lucky and have rain.

Enjoy the weather..off to do chores. Hey Linda..here is your post..hope to be more frequent..in posting in the future....right...lol.

Playtime and more visitors

These are miniture cows. They were in another pasture and managed to come over for a visit. The little ones don't come up to the Clyde's bellys..lol. Pretty darn cute. The lads don't seem to mind them so they are welcome to stay.

The Mini Horses are feeling pretty good. Playful little guys!! You will notice that Pepsi is no longer a palimino..little guy changed colour in 2 weeks..lol. Looks like we are getting closer to a matched pair.

Had a great Sunday. Went with my friend Ann to the Lindsay Quilt Guild Show. Spent most of the day there..lol. The Show was fantastic. What a great group of ladies. They were so organized and the displays incredible. Shopping was great as well..lol. How do you decide which quilt is your favourite...so hard. The quilts ..well it is hard to say enough about them. Just gorgeous!!!!
Came home totally exhausted but that is ok. Great day and also got to meet some nice gals while we were there.
Now to settle down to some work around here. The gardens are over grown with all this rain and the buckets still need to have some flowers planted in them. I need longer days!!!
Enjoy The Day

Busy Busy

The days are just flying by. Between the barn and the house I am not sure which one is taking up more time. We needed another stall put together so Friday was taken up with that. Bill (Clyde) has a fantastic new very large stall. Nice and open so great air flow for those hot days that are coming. On the really warm days I like to bring the guys in during the day and put fans on them. They have a great day of rest and head out to pasture in the evening. Spoiled yes..and that is the way it should be!!

Pepsi and Will are doing great but do manage to get into a lot more trouble than the big guys ever have. They are so darn small they can get into places I never thought would be a problem. That will be fixed tomorrow when we get a new electric fence up. That should solve the problem. The little guys are enjoying there big field. Every so often they take a rip around the field at a break neck speed. Just to cute.

Just got a call from our daughter..on the way to the hospital. Our oldest granddaughter was on a trampoline..you know the story. Heard something crack in the ankle area..poor kid. Will have to wait and find out just what will happen "this" time. Poor kid has had trouble with both knees and other growing related problems so this is just adding to the list of injuries. Poor kid!! Sometimes it does suck being a kid!!

Enjoy the weekend, love this weather. Oh sewing..whats that..lol

Introducing Pepsi & Will

I have wanted to buy Mini Horses for a long time. Well here they are at last. A friend of mine bought one and I got the other..we have not figured out who got which one..lol. Who cares!! The little guys are 2 & 3 years old. Yesterday we got them gelded so no more hormone antics. Did not take long to remember what a pain studs can be in a barn....lol. In a few days they can go out to pasture and play. This fall we are going to get them used to harness. Should be fun.

On the Quilting front..I am still working away on Rod's. Ugh..just want it done!! Like it...just time to work on something else.

Tuesday is a workshop for Quilts of Valour. Will be a fun day seeing some gals I have not had a chance to visit with for some time.

Enjoy the spring weather.

Spring is in the air..yippee

Between spring break for the kids and hubby going on his holiday I have been far to busy.

Had a wonderful week with our Grandaughters. Managed to make up some tote bags with the oldest. She is mastering th machine better all the time. I am giving the girls a machine this summer. They are a little disappointed it is not one of the Designers..lol..but they can wait for that. (a very long time..lo)

We have friends that live in Thailand. Every 3-4 years hubby goes over for a visit and a well deserved rest. The flight is way to long for me with my arthritis and believe me I am fine with staying home. Early this morning I got a call from him to say he was there and enjoying a nice "hot" Thai meal. The one place they have at the top of there list this time is to go and see the Bengal Tigers. You can go up to them and pet them and play with the cubs. I am so looking forward to those pictures. That takes on an entire different meaning to "here kitty, kitty"..lol..lol

While the kids were here it was mentioned that the oldest needed a laptop case. Naturally I said hey I will make you one. I am in the process of that right now. Might have been better to just buy her the one she wanted..lol. In any case I will post some pictures as I progress.

Spring is indeed in the air..we have kittens again. One is spoken for..the little dark one with the brown face. Several people looking at the others..so they will be gone quickly. Oh these are so sweet, and for the first time we have fluffy kittens.

Off to Fabricland this morning..sale time. I will "try" and be good.

Enjoy the day.

Confusing Week

There is nothing worse than being sick while on the road. Poor hubby got food poisoning while travelling in the USA. (it was the shrimp at a buffet..ugh!) We finally got him in a hospital but he was so dehydrated it took awhile to convince him he was sick enough to go. It is so difficult when your dealing with such a distance. He is home now and will take time to build up after that experience. Needless to say no sewing happening around here.

The snow has been going with all this warm weather. More rain coming this afternoon. Does not hurt my feelings. I have had enough of winter. This years Sleigh Ride was a wagon ride. We got a few pictures but it was not a pleasant day. Just at the end of the ride the skys opened up. Did not go on the ride hubby was still pretty weak. That was the one weekend we had wanted snow..lol

Enjoy the day!!

Sewing Day

Had a great visit with the gals during sewing day in Burnt River. Another jacket being mapped out. Hope to get pictures the next time we meet. All in denim ..looking great.

Was working in the sewing room around 7:30pm when the door bell rang. WELL that does not happen around here often so Kally ..the cats and I jumped. It was our neighours with a visitor from the west wanting to park his tractor/trailor in our yard. Hey no problem but don't scare me to death..lol. Called Rod to say hello...everyone is going to think you have changed jobs..lol. Not sure how long it is going to sit there but I would imagine it will be gone sometime today. Don't care ..he is welcome to leave it there. Lots of yard there..lol

Not sure if I am ever going to get to the final put together stage with this quilt..I keep sewing and there is always more stages to do. Oh boy do I like what I am seeing so far.

In the middle of another snow fall. Windy so not sure if the guys will go out early or not. Heading to the barn. Have a great day everyone..see ya!

Sunny Days

Gotta love these sunny days. Cold but that is ok. Lots of ice everywhere. The lads are stepping carefully around there paddock. They have at least 1/2 of there area that looks like a skating rink.
Rod managed to get home for only one day again this week. It was a busy time getting his uniforms ready for him to head out again along with our barn chores. Not sure how long this spell will last at work but we are not going to complain.
Went over to visit with my Mom yesterday..got a lovely Birthday Card from her. I took her over some of my cake..just not able to gobble down the sweet stuff like I used to..lol. Several phone calls and visitors for the day finished off another Birthday. Boy the years are going faster.
My poor son-in-law broke his leg in 3 places this weekend. He is in a lot of pain and had sugery yesterday. Lets hope today is a better day for him. Going to be a long recovery from what I am told. 10-12 weeks in a non walking cast..had a 16 inch steel rod put in. Poor guy!!Ugh!! Snowmobiling accident..he is lucky to still be here.
Off to let the horses out and on to some sewing today. It is Family Day in Ontario so a lot of stores are closed so sticking close to home today.
Enjoy the day!!

Warm Weather

Oh this is wonderful. Finally some days of melting snow. It is supposed to rain most of the day so that will make a big difference. Last nite I could hear the snow rolling off the roof (steel roof) so much for sleep but I sure did not mind..lol

May 4th and June 5th have pictures of the kittens of last spring. Here are the 2 stars..Tippy(fuzzy one) and Bruiser who was always climbing out of his container. Bru is just adorable and one very big male. Tippy is a hoot..she climbs straight up anything and everything. I don't think it would be dull having her in a home. She is so loveable never mind her mountain climbing hobby..lol Just found out this weekend that she is expecting..doesn't she look pleased...lol. I am going to have her fixed after this litter. They are barn cats and the money spent does not bother me..but oh the heart break when you have another one die. Just last spring we had our male neutered and the week after he came home he got hit by a car. For 18 years we had 2 barn cats that never went near the road..ever since they died it has been one accident after another. A month ago our dear Purr Purr the mother of this litter had to be put down. She had been hit by a car..it was her time, we did not want her to suffer. What a heart break. Lets hope these guys stick close to home. We need cats..or the mice will take over! They sure are not treated like barn cats!!!

I have been working away on my quilt and a few other projects. I rearranged things so my cutting table is in the room as well..makes a big difference having it back in there. Not a lot of room..but it works for me. What more can a gal ask for..TV..Laptop..and machines. Got it made..lol. Just have to come out for food once and awhile..lol.

Today I have to head to the city so no sewing happening here. Have a great day.

Mojo Back

Well it was different..have no idea why it happened but it was an odd week. Have not felt that way in a long time. I really did not care about sewing at all. Whew glad "that" is over. Scarey stuff..lol.

I have the frame up and have been playing with it. Lots of little things have to be worked on but I am hooked..this is going to be fun. I sure can understand about cats and quilt frames..Oh My..they think it is there play ground. Nothing is sacred, they want to play with everything. Sure hope they find some other hobby soon. Maybe they will get bored with it..ya!! think??..lol

Rod's quilt is all cut out and I am working on it. It is going to be nice..love the colours. This week is a little hectic with appointments but hopefully I will have time to get some blocks done.

This weekend is mild so snow is melting ..yippee. No major storms in the forcast. Oh boy lets hope we don't see any major weather patterns for awhile.

Will post some pictures tomorrow. Nite...

Quilting & Sleigh Rides

We have had more than our fair share of snow this winter. Snow is one thing but the bitter wind and cold has made this like a winter that will not end. Trips to the barn have been an adventure on many snow days.

Last weekend our neighbor decided it was time to have a fun day with the horses. Friends came over with there team and the games began. First teams went out with kids on toboggans behind. Lots of giggles and balancing acts. Next a 4 hitch across.

By then everyone was tired including the horses so we took a break. The kids were all excited because next was the 6 hitch. How many kids get to toboggan behind a 6 hitch..lol. I spent the entire afternoon taking pictures. Managed to go for a few rides..lol Still have to edit them but I am pleased with the pictures.

I have some muslin on the B-Line frame. The girls had a great time writing there names and practicing on it. Now I need to spend some time on it. Last week I got frustrated that my cutting table was not in my sewing room (which is small) Well after re-arranging the room it now fits in there. A lot less walking back and forth so I am happy. Lets hope this week goes well so I can get some sewing done. Not sure why but my get up and go seems to have got up and went..lol. Must be the winter...I don't know. Seems like I Have to Make myself get in there and sew. Weird eh!!

Update on Black Jack...he is holding his own. I am so happy he is doing well. Fingers crossed that the next appointment at the vets goes well. Testing still being done. He is such a sweet looking lad.

Off to try and get some sewing done "again". Keep warm!!

A horse called "Black Jack"

I belong to several Yahoo Groups featuring a variety of embroidery designers. Over the years I have gotten to know several of these gals with posting stories of our horses and families. Jericho Designs has mostly horse related embroidery's and Sew-N-2-U has a wide variety of designs and of course she has horses. Both gals do a great job with there sites. So you can imagine how heart wrenching it was to see an email come from Patty at Sew-N-2-U that her wonderful gelding Black Jack was not well. News like that hits everyone. It did not take long for both sites to have emails come in with encouraging words for Patty. It is so wonderful what the internet has done in creating friendships over the miles. With me it is not only that it is her wonderful horse..it is the name..Black Jack.

Several years ago we were lucky enough to have the chance to buy a wonderful Standard bred gelding by the name of Black Jack. He was up in years but very healthy and sound. Rod adored him..he was "his horse". A very polite easy going lad that fit in our barn like had always been there. One December our lives fell apart. Our Clyde gelding Hughie became very ill. After many vet visits and worries we finally found out that he had had a stroke. As our vet was again examining Hughie..I walked Jack past her bringing him in from his paddock...but wanted her to look at him when she was finished with Hughie. I had not liked the way he had been for a few days. The vet commented that Jack did not look right. Well that was the beginning of the end. In one month we had to say goodbye to both of them. Jack it turned out had Cancer. I want you to know that was the worst Christmas we have ever had.
So needless to say when I heard that another Black Jack was seriously ill..it hit my heart. Please say a prayer for Patty's Black Jack. I sure hope she has many more years of enjoyment and love with her lad. He is on an IV now in the hope it is an infection..but time will tell.

Back to Normal!

Whatever Normal..lol..is around this place! We had a nice Christmas. Friends and family came and went so lots of laughs. I have de-christmased the house and have most of it packed away the way it should be for another year. The tree is an issue as usual. The bag I store it in is a little to small so now to figure out another solution. At this point it may be the stand and a sheet in the baseement. I am trying to find another tree bag that is bigger than the one I have. Using that smaller bag has not helped the life of the tree..so on to find a new bag.

Rod got home from the East Coast at 6:30pm Christmas Eve. In over 30 years of trucking he has never almost missed Christmas. Boy it was close this year. The storms on our East Coast have been terrible. At one point he was not going to be here for Christmas Day. Looked like he was going to be sitting in Quebec City for the day. Thank heavens between weather and a co-operative company where he had to make a drop..it all worked out. It has been many years since I have seen him so tired. After a week off he is ready to hit the road again. Kally and Fuzzy cat will not get her treats all day long..lol..and I will go back to my sewing and take over the barn chores.

Our daughter and her family are having a wonderful holiday in the Cayman Islands. They went to swim with the Dolphins which was planned ahead. Oh my what an adventure that was. The girls were just over the top excited about the entire adventure. Can't wait to see them in person to hear the stories.

Just starting on a new quilt for Rod. The quilt in the truck is to small so here we go with another one. (The colours of the one last fall did not work out) So this time I got him to look at the fabric first..lol. The pattern has a southwestern look so hopefully this one will be ok. It is on the top of my sewing list of things to get done.

Somehow I need longer days. Between the B-Line a new sewing machine and software..I am not finding the days long enough to play with everything..lol..Then of course the horses are always put first. One day at a time.

Happy New Year To All

Snow & Sewing

Working away on some table toppers. These are called Twisters. Took a little to understand the consept but once going it was a breeze. Still have to put on the binding which is tricky with the angles. I was hoping to put the binding on by machine to make it fast but there is no way with the angles that is going to work. I have also been working on some embroidered lace. Still have to wash them out. Turned out great. Made some Emblibrary Icicles as well as some snow flakes. Very pretty.

Like everyone else we got hit with the big snow storm yesterday. Wow..dumped a bunch of the white stuff. The lads of course were kept in the barn. Today is very chilly but hopefully I can turn them out for a short time this afternoon. More storms coming back to back right up to Christmas. UGH!!

Hubby has headed to Halifax in Big Orange so he will get home just in time for Christmas Eve. The economy is hitting everyone. His normal run is not the same anymore so he decided to pick up this load when it was offered. Just hope these new storms don't slow him down to much.

Off to try and get to the barn. Hope to get some nice snow pictures. I am a fine looking sight in my barn overalls and big coat..lol.

Enjoy the day..time to finish up the Christmas shopping. Nice sunny day!!

Celebrating The Season

What a great time we had last weekend. It was our family Christmas. With everyone travelling to different family members and our kids going away we settled on last weekend for our celebration.
The hit again was anything that would fly..lol. All sizes of helicopters circled the livingroom with the addition of a flying Tinker Bell of all things..lol. Poor Fuzzy cat was beside himself. He is still sleeping!!
Now I have a short time before the 25th to finish up my shopping for the official day. Just a few coming so no stress, just a great time. We had our turkey so this will be a Thai meal. Rod loves to cook so why would I argue with that..lol.

Now back to sewing. I am not sure which way to go..lol. My new machine is waiting to be played with..then there is my quilt frame. To Be Quilting (B-Line Frame) were wonderful in exchanging some parts I needed to get my machine working on the frame. That came in the mail yesterday.

Oh I didn't mention I had to return my Sapphire. Just loved it but had a terrible time seeing the front of the machine where the buttons are. I have trouble with my eyes..and the navy blue front was just impossible. Well in talking to my dealer she mentioned she had a Designer SE Limited Edition that was just traded in. My luck in another gal deciding to trade up. Bonus in getting this machine as a second machine in that now I have two embroidery units if needed. I am sorry to not have the extra throat space but other than going to the Topaz there was no choice. As much as I liked the Topaz it just did not have all the wonderful features of the SE. So that was my Christmas present upgrading to this wonderful machine. I am a very lucky gal. What a wonderful husband I have.

Back to some sewing..enjoy the snow!! Lots more coming. Going to be a White Christmas in Ontario for sure.

Tack Tote

The girls are always trying to juggle there tack for the barn using plastic bags ect. So this tote may help. Just finished this tote for Kennedy, also did one for her sister..but they are the same so one picture. Not very fancy..did a zipper on one side and 2 small pockets on the other side. The inside is plain ..that is where the boots gloves..ect. go. Needless to say this tote is not going to be clean for long. Used denim for easy laundering.

Our Christmas is this weekend. Thanks to another blunder by Sears I am desperate for a delivery this Wed. I placed the order way back on the 20th..it is lost so now have placed another order..so hopefully one of them turn up. 90% of the gifts for one of the girls is in that order..Geesh why do I do this to myself. You would think I would learn.

This cold weather can leave..oh my. The lads were in all yesterday and today. Got them out for an hour while I got some chores done..but they were happy to come back in when the doors opened. Tomorrow is supposed to warm up..but along with that..more snow. Oh well it is winter in Ontario..so what else would you expect..lol

Yesterday I took a break from sewing and watched the movie Home Alone. It is just hilarious. Love a good classic movie. Christmas movies will get you in the mood if nothing else does. Now to watch Christmas Vacation. That movie makes you realize an artifical tree is a good thing..lol

Back to my room..enjoy the day.

Horses, Sewing & Christmas

I got a call while enjoying a quiet time in my sewing room..we are taking the horses out..do you want to take some pictures. Well..this shows how much my love of horses is..lol. Leave a nice dry warm sewing room..and take pictures ..YOU BET!!These gorgeous lads belong to our neighbor Steve. Rod just loves heading out to help him with the sleighs. They managed to take 2 teams out before it got to dark..lol..and to wet.In any case I got some wonderful shots. This is going to be a long snowy winter the way it is going.

Finished embroiderying the work shirts and now on to some Christmas sewing/embroidery. Having fun getting used to the Sapphire. First thing I did was get the Bendable Bright Light disk put on that machine as well. I have no idea how I sewed without this wonderful gadget. Sewing with dark colours is not an issue anymore. Yes it is more expensive than you would think for a tiny gadget like that..but way more important than any light I have in my sewing room.

My B-Line Frame is up..the machine ready to go..now to wait for one more little part and I am ready to go. I got the Quilter's Cruise Control but have to get different optical encoders. It is sitting at one end of the livingroom..lol..and there it stays. Christmas will just have to go on around it. Waited far to long to take it down for the Season.

Off to feed the lads. Enjoy the day.
